Gonna miss my morning walks with this little buddy 😭
I kayaked to that island in the distance, snorkeled for a few minutes before convincing myself that a croc was going to get me, then kayaked the fuck back to this spot. Then I had a beer. All before 10am.
Electricity here in Malawi is restricted to four hours a day, and the WiFi is absolute shit. But I am safe and so happy and I can confirm that Malawi is in fact the warm heart of Africa.
Last day in Mada. Enjoying it from this swing outside my room 😍
If you saw my stories the past day in a half, you know I took a hellish 27 hour cross country bus where the driver played ONE CD on repeat (I’m guessing it’s called “African Polka Music with Recorder”). And while I am caked in dirt and my legs and feet are swollen like tree trunks and I’d give a kidney to never sit behind a woman holding two live chickens ever the fuck again, I’m so glad I got to see the more rural parts of Madagascar. Most tourists fly in and out of cities, but these god awful taxi-brousse‘s are how locals get around. While I don’t want to do this again anytime soon, I’m grateful to have gotten a bit of a glimpse into how Malagasy live 💕
Suck it, Bora Bora. Nosy Iranja is where it’s at
I love lemurs, can’t you tell?

Picked this place literally because of the hammock #hammockbitch
